2024 Pricing
I now offer special rates for "micro-weddings". What is a micro-wedding? "A micro-wedding is an intimate affair, typically with no more than 50 guests. They still feature time-honored traditions that make a wedding but on a much smaller scale." Throughout my profession as a wedding photographer, I have enjoyed the smaller parts of weddings the most.
So if you are planning a small or a large wedding, I am happy to document your day. No matter what, the LOVE will be BIG that day!
(Rates will vary based on wedding size - micro vs. standard).

I don’t set any limits on the number of photos that I take at a wedding and every wedding is different. The number of edited shots I provide depends on a few factors. Some of the factors are the amount of wedding coverage you select, the number of people involved, the quantity of group shots you request, the various events happening over the course of your day, location restrictions, weather, seasonal time of year, etc. However, I will be taking photographs at every opportunity that I feel will tell your “wedding story”. I will try to capture the moments that you won’t see happening because, believe me, you will be a busy bride (and groom). I want you to look back at the photos and see your whole wedding day story play out before you.
No. Part of my photography is based on my artistic eye to edit my photos. Only my edited photos are provided to clients.
It generally takes me 4-12 weeks to edit photos for a wedding. A lot of time and thought goes into the editing process and I take it quite seriously. Previews are posted within a week after the wedding. It also depends if the wedding takes place during the busy wedding season (summer).
Yes. I have a great assistant (Mo) that does a lot for me as well as the bride and the families. However, I do not have an additional photographer. I have photographed many weddings and have enough experience to make myself available for the important shots. For an additional charge, I can provide a second photographer.
No. Engagement photos are a separate package.
es. When you decide to book me as your wedding photographer, I will email or mail you a copy of the contract to review and sign. Then the signed contract is returned to me (make sure to make a copy for yourself) with a deposit of half the total wedding collection amount. A date isn’t officially booked until a deposit and signed contract is received. I can’t “save” a date. I always recommend that brides book their venue (location) and photographer as soon as they can. Wedding photographers book quickly.
Yes and no. This is up to the couple. A lot can be accomplished via email such as the itinerary and family photo list. However, I am always willing to meet with the couple at least two weeks prior to the wedding date to work out any requests and details.
For weddings IN Leelanau County and Traverse City I do NOT charge a travel fee. However, if outside those areas, I charge 90 cents per mile (Traverse City being the starting point). For example, Boyne City is 70 miles from Traverse City. 70 miles x 70 cents is 63 dollars for one way. The total cost would be 126 dollars roundtrip.
Most of the time, I am booked 6-12 months in advance for weddings. Rarely am I able to accommodate a wedding booking DURING a wedding season that is in full gear. Plan ahead especially if photography is important to you.
